A couple shots of the kids

Annalise is pretty reserved (just ask anyone at church who has tried to hold her lately). Here is some proof that she really does smile once in a while.
Both kids are apparently happy sitting out in the snow. They must get that from their mother because I hate being cold. One of these days we'll get Jared some gloves or mittens so he doesn't freeze his fingers off (he's wearing socks on his hands...lol).
Hey...are you lookin' at me?... Are YOU lookin' at ME? I may be pretty, but I wasn't born yesterday ya know.
The real Jared. Everyone thinks he is so sweet with those big blue eyes... ... riiiiight.
Merry Christmas 2011! Never too early to start getting the kid some tools...as long as he doesn't use them on his sister.

Whenever I have to make dinner, Jared gets weird looking stuff like this...but hey, the kid eats it. I know you are just dying to get the recipe so here it is:

Hotdog

Carrots

Nasty wheat-free bread

Mustard (the cheap kind)

It's a good thing Margaux doesn't let me make dinner too often.

Dinner Stinkers

Annalise thought it would be fun to make some music during dinner. She didn't have a hard time convincing Jared to join in the fun and pretty soon the whole family was into a rousing chorus of "Pthhhh...." I think we'll make a demo tape and send it to the local radio stations :) They must get their talent from me (Michael).

What a bunch of slackers

To whom it may concern:

We appologize for the delay in posting new pictures for the world to see. We know that there are grandparents and other family and friends that have been sitting on pins and needles (which really sounds quite painful), waiting for these. Hopefully these few pictures will serve to satisfy you all for the time being. Eventually, we will post more pictures, but due to scheduling difficulties, that may not be for quite some time.

Jared is a good big brother. He likes to hold Annalise, and show her the things that he makes with his "legos".

We were all surprized when Annalise came out with a full head of dark hair. If you look at her now, the hair on top has rubbed out, and she looks like an old man.

Margaux has a thing for going to the hospital just after midnight.

It's a good thing babies are cute...it makes the sleep depravation all worth it when you get to hold and snuggle with them.

Storytime at the Carter home is what gets us through the week...but after reading Jared the same book 1,000,000 times over (this may be a slight exaggeration) , Jared can pretty much "read" the stories to us now. Gotta love being put to sleep by your kid. Ha ha ha.

Watch out world!!!

Up to this point, Jared has made a habit of pointing out every bike that he sees...and now he's got one of his own.

Random pictures...

Yes, this is my favorite son who did manage to survive in spite of having rubbed Vaseline all over himself, a big glob on his shoulder and a few other places. Maybe that's why his hair has been looking darker!

Mom's night off

Apparently there was a large fire (what you see behind him). Jared liked that and not sleeping all night.
Finally found ice cream he could have! Hooray!
