Pumpkin Fun!

Woo hoo! We carved a pumpkin for Family Home Evening (in October). Jared had no idea what we were doing but had fun observing the pumpkin carving.

Michael shows Jared the 'hat' covered with slimy seeds.

Mom sketches the face while Jared plays with the Pumpkin brains. He thought it was great to stir them with a spoon.

So spooky! Jared has his head right up next to it, looking at the candle inside.

Our cute boy! He crawled all over the room chasing after the baseball. He's got a pretty good arm, for a 1 year old. He tried out a couple throws by tossing the ball across the kitchen table and watching it roll off the other side.... ah, the joys of toddlerhood!

What have we been doing since August?

Hehehe! Our top secret lives are now exposed! I finally made time for a little uploading yesterday and then put the pictures all in backward...
Here we are at our congregation's Fall Festival. Jared went as a pumpkin (he's eating, not glum) and Michael & I went as 'cereal' killers. We forgot to take pictures of our costumes, though, so to give you an idea, we stabbed plastic knives through little cereal boxes. I wore mine on yarn like a shoulder strap. Michael's were a little more gory so he 'hid' them in an open leather bag. Super fun to make and to test people's observation skills.

We went on a camping trip the beginning of September. Camping wasn't too great but the hike was a lot of fun! We survived and know what to do differently next time.

Popsicle time! Yummy!

More camping fun! Dad helps Jared get ready for hiking.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Say cheese!

Helping Mom get the dishes done by playing with bubbles. Woo hoo!

While Mom & Dad work on the yard and garden (peppers & squash), Jared fills up the watering bucket.

Time for a lower bed! Using the wrench, Jared helps Dad.
Ok, so nothing too secret after all. Life is pretty normal and, as always, busy and filled with fun. :)
